As the online gambling saga continues, and with PokerStars having lost the contract to purchase the Atlantic Club, they have now opted to move in a new direction in order to enter into New Jersey, specifically into the online poker market.
The route of the new direction would be that PokerStars would provide online gaming services only for the casino in Atlantic City, and this it is belived would come into fruition later this year once all the casinos concerned went live.

PokerStars quick action in this matter comes as little surprise following the Trump Taj Mahal’s signing of Ultimate Poker as their online provider. Excluding the Atlantic Club, only four casinos were without a partner prior to today.
Rational Group CEO Mark Scheinberg stated that “Resorts is a fantastic partner for us and we look forward to launch PokerStars in the U.S. in association with other quality brands Resorts has brought to Atlantic City. We are happy to invest in New Jersey and we are excited about building a successful relationship with Resorts.”
At this point and depending on state regulation, PokerStars will serve as a services provider only, but will at the same time give PokerStars the opportunity to once again re-enter the USA market. New Jersey is at this point lying in second place hoping to bring online poker live to its residents since the opening of Ultimate Poker in Nevada some two months ago.
