Delaware has just finished its POKER CHAMPIONSHIP tournament which saw 206 participants playing for a pool of $108,150. The tournament ended on Sunday. The event which was held at the Dover Downs Hotel and Casino was won by Dave Tarantino.

Delaware is expecting to soon come on line with casino games as well as online poker. The three casinos in Delaware are at present beginning to host games on the web which don't require deposits, but are planning for the real deal to come into operation in October. The free games will not disappear after the launch of the real money date, as they will be used for marketing purposes as they can be accessed by people any where.

Delaware will be looking for partners for their online gaming as they only have a population of just under a million and would need the link up with another state to create liquidity for the on line poker sites.
